Arguably the edgiest release to come out of Bollywood since Baghban, Khakee is a powerfully intense movie set on the mean streets of Mumbai.

The image of Amitabh Bachchan lecturing a violent mob about the Constitution will remain for eternity. As they say, only in the movies…

If you're looking for an out-and-out cop thriller, go watch this one. You will not regret it!

If anything, there's still time for Khakee to be made mandatory viewing at police academies across the country. Maybe even film schools.

Breaking stereotypes, the film explores the various shades of khakee -- the clean, the tainted, the dirty, the grimy, the sweaty and the bullet-ridden. Mr. Santoshi, here's a salute.
