Boring as all get out. Don’t waste your time.

Kicking Blood is, unfortunately, wanders in space while trying to make a romantic vampire story. While it focuses on the pleasure that the vampire gets while sucking blood, the movie deviates from its path and misses the target. Actually, a good idea is unfortunately wasted.

The first victim's acting was a *little* wooden, and even the lead's, at first, I thought was a little stilted. But she grew on me. And overall this film is worth a watch. It's thoughtful, and the cinematography, acting and dialogue are all good. It's something different--maybe a little like Let the Right One In (though clearly a bit lower budget) and a teensy bit like Romeo and Juliet, even.

Vampire Drama ‘Kicking Blood' Heavier on Style Than Bite

Great performances and cinematography! A film that depicts addiction and recovery through compassion and connection. It's not Twilight or a gory vampire flick so don't expect that.

Dig the poster, wish the movie had similar visual style. The production value looks like they used equipment from the 90's and the acting talent seems fresh out of acting school. Ah gives me the feeling of a student film to be honest. A real low budget feeling...was painful to watch...I think watching a kid's elementary school production would be more interesting. The lead actress reminds me of a slightly older Kiernan Shipka, so that was a plus.
