Knockaround Guys
audience Reviews
, 51% Audience Score- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGreat movie and vin diesel is badass. Tim Treakle
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGreat movie. One minor: as cop, you do never go to a shootout without a bulletproof vest.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsThe runtime was short and the pacing was brisk enough that it never really had time to become a bad viewing experience. The opening scene set a level of quality that the rest of the movie never came close to meeting in large part thanks to some truly atrocious dialogue... listening to Diesel's monologue about how many fights he'd been in reminded me of a story I might've written in 4th grade when I idolized Stone Cold Steve Austin. Watching Seth fly an airplane was a highlight though, and I have never seen Malkovich put on a bad performance.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsI watched this film becoz Malkovich and Diesel is in it. Whole genre looks classic but horrible plot and script. More like a low budget film.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsThe only good thing is Vin Diesel being Vin Diesel and John Malkovich being John Malkovich.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsPretty solid movie if you're a little stoned haha
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsQuality comedic-action film that has lots of twists
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsIt's a decent small time Gangster flick, but it's a little too derivative and Green is pretty distractingly miscast. Even though Diesel and Pepper do their best to elevate the material, it's ultimately pretty forgettable. It's still an alright time-waster though...
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsI liked it, alright film
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI think it's a good movie. It focuses primarily on the smaller side of things in Organized Crime vs a movie like Goodfellas where it focuses on the complex inner workings of Organized Crime as a whole, but that is what Goodfellas set out to do, whereas Knockaround Guys is a less complex focusing more on an individual job, and what happens when even the simplest screw up is the most deadly mistake, and that is what Knockaround Guys set out to do, and both movies listed in this review did exactly what they set out to do successfully. The actors are top notch picks, especially John Malkovich. He portrays an excellent gangster. Each character has their own personalities that enhance the overall flow and experience of the movie. If you are a fan of Organized Crime movies, but are looking for more indepth history, you may not like this movie so much, but if you are a lover of all Organized Crime movies and not picky about the storyline, you will like this movie.
