I feel like the whole Sony-verse is kinda overrated, but that’s not an excuse for them to keep putting out incredibly mediocre origin stories that no one wants. Kraven lacks a plot and has so many wasted opportunities. With the lineup of villains they had, I thought there could actually be solid buildup for an interesting final act. But all three of this movies villains feel so underutilised. Both Rhino and the Foreigner’s deaths happen so suddenly, and neither of them actually fight Kraven for more than 2 minutes. And Chameleon is literally only revealed at the end of the movie to tease a sequel I guess, despite the fact that I think he would’ve made an even more compelling villain than Rhino and Foreigner.

Not sure why critics hated on this so much, it was entertaining and good paced and what I want when watching a thriller/action/sci-fi

One and a half stars. I wish they’d just let Kraven stay off living in the wild by himself. This movie was so bland that you'd be better off cleaning your car than sit through another Marvel misfire.

I wanted to like this movie, but unfortunately it was only so-so. I rented it at home, but am sorry I didn't wait until it streamed free. I always like Aaron Taylor Johnson and Russell Crowe, so they were the bright spots. I think they made a casting mistake using Fred Hechinger as the older Dmitri (Kraven's brother). He just did not fit what we had seen previously of Dmitri as a teen. He went from likeable to wimpy and babyish, then his character turned into the villain. The film started strong - the prison scene was good, as well as Kraven and his brother as young men. At this point I thought, why did so many dislike this film. After it's interesting start, it went down hill. The dialogue in general was not well thought out and the musical score was not quite right. The script was not strong - so many inconsistencies and plot holes. Here are a few: It started its down hill slide with the plane waiting for him after the 'prison break'. How the heck did he arrange for plane and how could they have possibly known where and when to be there!!! Kraven calls to warn Calypso and she just happens to see 5 men walking about 4-5 stories below her that look like they don't belong there. Repetitive animal run into slide - too much - became boring. Cheetah scene completely unnecessary - and looked fine for a animated movie, but this is not an animated movie. And Calypso's reaction was calm, then telling him he's crazy ....? When they grabbed brother Demetry, Rhino said they were coming after Kraven - how did they know Kraven was there? What happened to going after Russell Crowes empire? It was totally forgotten in the story line. Demetry went from total wimp in gun fight at nightclub to mimicking his captor and throwing the antibiotics - doesn't track. I thought the water buffalo with one broken horn was slaughtered at the beginning of the movie then shows up stampeding at the end?? Very disappointed in the writing. Very disappointed in the writing.

Yeah I could see why this killed the DCEU and I don't blame Aaron.

A hunter—a vigilante—hunting hunters and poachers to rid the world of criminals? Kay. Besides Aaron Taylor-Johnson owning the role of Kraven, there was absolutely nothing in the whole watch. Ariana DeBose's Calypso was the weakest portrayal, with the most laughable appearances. The Foreigner's (Christopher Abbot) arc was unjustifiable. Dmitri Kravinoff (Fred Hechinger) had a lame character development (if at all). The entire plot was a fallacy. The motivations were unmotivating. The climax was predictable from the trailer. An overall disappointment. The shots were rather interesting, though the script and story fell so short that they dragged this down. The CGI was hell. The R-ratedness engrossed me (oh my, I love gore). This movie though, has left no impact. It is that amount of bad (right amount? wrong amount?) where it can perfectly vanish into nothingness and out of existence, forever.

This movie was awesome! The visions looked like the comic! It was the perfect casting choice. I would hope that he would included in the whole universe because he’s a great beautiful actor.

Love a Marvel character I didn't already know. Great opening scenes, and Russell Crowe is always a plus. Thoroughly enjoyed.
