- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsIncredible true story and great acting. Well done
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsVery good movie. The suspense had me invested the entire time! I really cared about the characters as well.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsBased on an intense true story, Last Breath showcases the frightening rescue for a young deep-sea diver trapped dangerously deep below the surface of the ocean. Directed by Alex Parkinson, who also directed the documentary of the same story, Last Breath captures an incredible true story of survival despite also not feeling like a story worthy of a full length film. Though Last Breath features strong performances from Woody Harrelson, Simu Liu, and Finn Cole, the story itself is one that feels underwhelming or anticlimactic at times. While I do not want to belittle someone’s frighteningly true experiences, I do not know if I felt as though this was a film that kept my interest for the entirety of its runtime. Last Breath features some cool effects and underwater sequences, but the visual components of the film are muddy and void of creativity. Last Breath attempts to hit multiple emotional notes throughout the film, but the emotion and drama fails to feel impactful on the audience. Overall, Last Breath is an average film that feels very cliché in the true-story genre. Though the story is interesting at times, I do not think there are enough exhilarating elements for Last Breath to be notable. Woody Harrelson is ridiculously charismatic and he really needs to be cast in more films.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI have said the past few years that today's movies are not really that good at all. The acting, scripts and movies overall just are not good BUT this one right here is an exception! I highly recommend this movie. It was nail biting suspenseful and yet also brought tears. Wonderfully directed and the acting was nothing short of superb! 5+ stars all the way!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsSolid film! Really enjoyed the story and appreciated that it was a true story. The movie felt a bit short overall, but the story was really nice. There wasn’t much character development through the film, but it was still an interesting watch. Really good movie!
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsBased upon true events, the Last Breath certainly knows how to build up the suspense and drama that was very well structured from the direction of Alex Parkinson as well as fantastic performances from its cast especially from Woody Harrelson and Simu Liu.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsNot here to talk about the movie it self, but just to respond to some ppl who puts bad reviews just because of a clever remake about it's not real and human can't hold breath more than 5 min and another said it's dumb movie because it's not realistic. I will say just one thing Go Watch the documentary with the same title people. it's real story, before giving some reviews just do some research, I watched the documentary last year and it was phenomenal. nothing is impossible. so the movie just took the base with some spices of Hollywood.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsFilms such as this, where characters are trapped in confined life or death situations, are effective and this was no exception.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsI just finished watching Last Breath and wow — what a gripping and immersive experience. From start to finish, I was fully engaged. The film does an incredible job of pulling you into the tension and drama, making you feel like you’re right there alongside the characters. The chemistry between the three main actors was outstanding — natural, believable, and emotionally compelling. Their performances anchored the story and made the unfolding events feel all the more real and intense. This movie kept me on edge and deeply invested the entire time. Definitely a must-watch.
