Late Night with the Devil

Assured in their craft, the Cairnes brothers deliver fulsome ratings satire and sharp scares.

The cast makes Late Night With the Devil more than watchable, but they also raise our hopes for something better.

The Cairnes cite Sidney Lumet’s Network as an influence and I’m not surprised. They have come up with a worthy successor.

Its smart use of mostly practical effects work and its disciplined approach makes for a sometimes tense, often funny and always impressive horror film that even scaredy cats will appreciate.
