Overall, the movie just feels derivative... A generic exercise in [the post-apocalyptic] genre.

The film is more about mood than insight.

Taking plots and messages from many sides, this film falls a little flat for me.

Writer-director Alex Tibaldi takes a rather over-serious approach that occasionally begins to feel a bit corny. But the story is involving and thought-provoking in some surprisingly resonant ways, because it's easy to identify with the characters.

Half baked... It just doesn't deliver.

It’s not hard to see why Judd might want to take a crack at playing Lee, a woman bound by duty in self-destructive times, but her efforts don’t amount to much under the film’s deflating conditions.

Relentlessly bleak rather than provocative, this low-budget dystopian thriller offers a mild twist on a familiar scenario before settling for predictable final-act tropes.

Lazareth takes an intimate and nuanced view of the worst-case scenario with moderate success. The pieces don't quite fit together from a common sense and believability standpoint, but the human drama central to the narrative is fascinating to behold.
