Wow! I was enthralled by the subject of this film and the well played characters who were full of soul and spirit. The twist was a delightful experience which gave even more meaning to the film. A hugely important subject, a hugely significant figure in Lee Miller and I will be recommending highly!

Sad to say all a bit dull which it really shouldn't have been given the cast and subject matter. The finished product is more akin to a period drama complete with fake BBC world service style posh caricatures rather than a female empowerment war movie. Even the normally dependable Kate WInslet doesn't have a convincing enough US accent which actually becomes quite distracting. I mean it's not terrible, but its certainly not good either.

Kate Winslet en uno de sus papeles más sólidos y maduros. La historia de una fotógrafa independiente pone de manifiesto lo que es capaz una mujer a base de determinación y coraje.

The film felt empty. in most scenes, the surroundings seemed like a stage rather than a slice of real ww2 life. dull camera operation, lazy editing. Visually unimpressive. It focuses so much on the lead character, that the events she is supposedly covering fades in the background, to the point where the war is abstract and distant. its basically a interpersonal drama, that is set in ww2 but highly disconnected from the events. It's a war movie in the same way friends is a workplace comedy.

The most overlooked film of 2024. What a raw and beautiful tribute to an American unsung hero. Lee Miller's life is deserving of a Kate Winslet performance and Kate delivers profoundly in front and behind the camera. There is a scene half way through the film that should have won her an Oscar. I cannot think of another working actor today who has the same authentic presence and uncanny ability to make you feel things with just the power of her face and eyes. She is truly an exceptional actress and Lee reminds us why. This film should be taught in schools and everyone should know Lee Miller's name. Fantastic historical biopic made with a lot of passion, accuracy, and care. Brava to all involved. A must see from me. 5/5

Weak plot. This film has zero redeeming elements. Winslet over acting. Plot “twist “ at the end came out of nowhere and was irrelevant to the film. And I learned nothing new about WW2. Avoid.

Felt like Winslet needed an outlet to speak more than she wanted to pay homage to Lee and her actual life.

Possibly Kate Winslet's best performance. Shining light on the harsh reality of WW2. This story is very important and needs to be watched by all.

An inspiring movie, worth the watch.

Pretty good. Good acting by winslet. Several awkward scenes and a rushed ending. I suspect some scenes that were needed to tie things together were cut out to keep the movie shorter. It also pushed the idea that WWII was only about Hitler and the Jewish population while ignoring the rest of the world.
