, 31% Audience Score- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsQuasi-intellectual Old Testament style biblical nonsense and gobbledygook. No understanding or even concern what religious mumbo-jumbo it invents. It's just terminally stupid and Paul Bettany is terminally insufferable.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsFelt like the movie was made without a proper direction in mind, maybe the script writers were high when they wrote this, but this film was intriguing at the beginning and then it just nose-dived half way through when angels get brought into this, using guns and fighting hordes of monster/zombies/demons possessing humans, like this feels like such a D-rated movie.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsTheologically impossible. I'm a faithful Catholic, but I have to admit, it is an interesting concept. If it were possible, this would be a very cool story. So, hypothetically, I like this movie.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsBetter than the critics said. It had a good cast which always helps. Worth a watch.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsOverly gory, but diverting, hokum. Paul Bettany looks like he had a hoot making this - he acts circles around every else. But it often feels like a love letter to guns. Perhaps that's taking the film too seriously - which you absolutely shouldn't. File under watchable shyte.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsLegion has an intriguing premise for a film. While the apocalyptic demonic showdown was a fun aspect for many viewers, the film’s plot is shaky and abruptly shifts in unexpected directions instead of delving deeper into the story’s underlying themes. Grading: C-
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsTypical US apocalypse story built around a siege . We've seen it a million times. Why is it American directors think its normal for people to act like headless chickens in a crisis. Reminds me the later episodes of Walking Dead. The so called veteran survivors did so many dumbass things you stop caring if they survive. I mean seriously, the Saviour is born, and you let a teenage girl bring the newborn into a room, alone with her crazy, traumatised mother while you havé a chat next door! The humorous part was the 'reluctance' of people to shoot clearly dangerous monsters. In gun-nut USA, where you can get shot reaching for a drivers license ....
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis movie is an underrated classic. While not very scary for a horror movie, it is quite charming and hilarious. I find this movie shoots for the moon in many ways and while at times it can be dialogue heavy, it absolutely delivers in terms of just over the top, wacky action. Of course Paul Bettany does his thing as always. If you have an hour and forty to kill just chuck this on and let yourself have some fun.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsUnder rated and overly hated. There are few enough films of this genre and this one will work for you if you're looking for some good ol Christian good vs evil. Cinematography is solid as are the effects and sound. Script has some weak points and the ending feels rushed and awkward but all in all an entertaining watch.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsWhile it's not high art, it is fun at times. It keeps up a decent pace, though the end is predictable. I think most of the poor ratings come from it being about the Christian Mythos, and maybe it does take itself too seriously.
