Life After Fighting

This movie was hands down the best martial arts movie I've ever scene. It's kind of a cliche 90s style kung-fu movie. But I have to this day have never scene action like this in my life. Even the action effects are terrible. For example anytime a gun is shot. and the landing pads that they land on are bouncy from high falls. But the actual fighting......is insane. I'm blown away. I'm gonna go watch it again and tell all my John Wick buddies about this film.

The script is excellent and the acting is top notch - the script demands top performances and the actors are great. Also, you really you get a feel for who Bren Foster is. His main message - and the message of the film - seems to be: "Become good at martial arts so you don't have to fight. The main reason to do it is if you feel the need to be able to protect yourself in violent situations." In the movie, in Alex Faulkner's situation, his profile as a martial arts champion has the effect of attracting challengers, one of whom only wants a competitive challenge. The others are bad, messed up people and Alex has to ultimately bring his full suite of MA expertise to bear on the baddies. It also perhaps offers a view of how being in the military shapes peoples lives - it leaves you with the idea that a small number of people who have seen a lot of trauma in war come out disillusioned and become guns for hire; similar to what is depicted in Equalizer 2.

The greatest martial artist i ever saw until now..Great senario ..

Good to see an Australian flick. It was an intense martial arts movie, who knows who's it target audience is. Some very nice The action sequences. Not for everyone but I enjoyed it.

Fun in a nostalgic 90s B-Martial Arts movie kind of way. Solid choreography though some of the fights went little longer then they should. Story was a bit farfetched and predictable. But overall it was a pretty good movie.

Here’s the plot, nice guy, uses martial arts, kills bad guys with martial arts rather than calling the police or using the gun he has, lots of stupid fighting. Boring, stupid, wish I could give it zero stars.

This movie was so good that I decided to write my first review on rotten tomatoes. And I’ve seen thousands of movies. The action sequences in this movie are elite and it goes on for a long time and it is all pure entertainment. I wish I could watch this again for the first time. Imma tell my great grand kids about this movie someday.

I started off thinking this was just going to be an average type movie, was a little slow when it first started off but loving martial arts I decided to stick with it and boy I wasn’t disappointed, when the tension started to get a little gritty, too me gasping in shock and the action starts, the ball never stops, makes up for the slow start but well worth taking the time to follow through, awesome realistic fight scenes, with a few unexpected surprises to have you cheering on, worth having a look

FÜR MARTIAL ARTS FANS EIN MUSS Alex leitet eine Kampfsport Schule für Jung und Alt, aus dem aktiven Wettbewerb hat er sich wegen mehreren Operationen zurückgezogen. Als die attraktive Samantha ihren Sohn anmeldet findet das ihr Ex-Mann gar nicht toll. Alex sieht einige Aufgaben auf sich zu Rollen, erst recht als die Tochter seiner Empfangsdamen Julie entführt wird. Die Zeiten werden hart und nur ein Kampflehrer kann den Tag retten. Life After Fighting geht ca. 120 Minuten und ist ab 18 Jahren freigegeben. Wir haben hier einen Action-Thriller von und mit Bren Foster, der sich hier den Traum jeden Lehrers auf den Leib schrieb. Eine hübsche Mama verliebt sich in dich und nur deine Kampfskills können den Tag retten, weil keiner ne Knarre hat. Die Handlung dreht sich größtenteils darum das Alex in seiner Schule konfrontiert wird und er allen zeigen muss warum er der beste ist. Der Plot, der mit der Entführung aufgemacht wird, ist gar nicht schlecht und durchaus spannend. Schauspielerisch ist das hier alles in Ordnung, Foster dabei zu sehen zu dürfen wie er in einem gefühlt 20 minütigen Endkampf eine halbe Armee durch einmal jedes Fenster tritt ist einfach hervorragend, für mich fehlte ihm nur das Charisma um wirklich ganz oben mitzuspielen. Die Nebenfiguren machen alle ihren Job und mehr erwartet man nicht, besonders hervor gestochen hat für mich Empfangsdame Julie, ihre Darbietung der verzweifelten Mutter war klasse. Die Bösewichte gucken böse und tun böse Dinge, ausreichend für den Plot. Das Finale zwingt Alex zu töten, dieser Schock hält ganze 5 Sekunden und danach versucht er den Body Count von Rambo zu erreichen. Am Ende bleibt ein Werk das sehr gelungene Action bietet, Charaktere liefert die einem nicht egal sind und dazu ein Schluss aufweist das jedes Martial Arts Herz höher schlagen lässt. Von mir bekommt der Film 7,5/10 Punkten. Foster hätte für mich noch ein paar One-Liner gebraucht, dann wäre das hier echt oberes Regal gewesen.
