Lightyear
audience Reviews
, 84% Audience Score- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsThis movie bored me to death. I couldn’t even watch this. Its attempts at being funny fail miserably. I didn’t get the plot at all. Very forgettable. It’s just annoying and not worth watching.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsBeautiful animation, bad story writing, and a bad change of villain. Why isn't Zurg Buzz's father anymore?
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsThis Toy Story spin-off blows and it copied interstellar! I rather watch movies like borderlands, madame web, a Minecraft movie, boss baby and epic than this travesty of a film!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars“Lightyear” is a visually stunning film, but it doesn’t quite capture the magic of Pixar’s imaginative storytelling.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsA struggle session for Buzz Lightyear. Without the wisdom and guidance of strong and independent women of color (who are better then him in everything), Buzz Lightyear is just another villain. This is how Disney writes stories now.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsThe his is one of the worst, most boring movies to exist, EVeR! There is no way that this is the movie that Andy watched that got him into Buzz lightyear.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsThis movie is a boring waste of time of Pixar. I watched it on Disney Plus and I felt nothing while watching it except tiredness and sleepy that's how boring it made me feel. The characters are boring. The pacing is boring. Even the side characters are boring too except Sox he's the only good character in the movie. And what is worst.....Zurg......Good Lord this character there are no words to describe how awful of a villain he is basically he is Buzz from the future but evil..........Aw man this has got to be the laziest thing Disney nor Pixar could ever put in this movie I don't know why some people even like this movie it's boring as hell and nothing joyful about it. 1/5. Or from my rate 2/10.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsZurg is badly made. The protagonists are kinda boring
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsModern Disney meets incredible, truly amazing animation. Could it be better? Absolutely. Is it as bad as everyone says it is? Nada. It deserves a watch simply for the connection to Pixars beloved Toy Story franchise. It would be a stretch to call it a masterpiece, however.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars"Lightyear" may pale in comparison to Pixar's main "Toy Story" movies starring Tom Hanks and Tim Allen, but it's still a fun, action-packed, and emotional origin story about a human version of Buzz and how he became the most well-known space ranger in the history. The voice acting, animation, action scenes, humor, pacing, and musical score all work together very well and help make this movie stand out from all other entries in the series, even if it is let down by being a more conventional origin story instead of being something unique and having its version of Zurg be a pointless representation of Buzz's personality, and how he'd end up if he focused so much on the mission at hand instead of accepting the fact that his friends and co-workers are all enjoying their new lives on an uncharted planet. Definitely check this out.
