Lightyear
audience Reviews
, 84% Audience Score- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsAbsolutely gorgeous film. The story and directing are top-notch. It’s something between Toy Story and Interstellar: a heavy narrative, fun comedy, and impressive animation. It has it all and remains vastly underrated. It delivers everything it promises — a perfect Disney/Pixar combo that brings back our childhood memories with a mature and refreshing twist.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsThis movie was not one of my favorite because it was so stupid
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsFor a movie about a loved pixar character by millions, it was kinda horrible. This movie does not do buzz justice and why is Captain America buzz light year in this movie? At least the graphics a good but other than that this was just a waste of my time
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsA complete garbage movie worth poor writing, Brad characters and same sex kiss that’s completely One of the taboos in my religion and values. Hollywood and Disney are NOT diverse enough, cuz they don’t respect values from other religions.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsof course andy likes this movie it has a lesbian kiss thats totally norma
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI watched this on Disney and saw it in IMax visually stunning to watch in
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsLightyear is the Toy Story spin-off origin story you didn’t know you needed. This Pixar film is complex both emotionally and plot-wise. It demands to be seen more than once to fully grasp some of the emotional impact of the lovingly crafted writing. But fear not, Earthlings! Lightyear is kid-friendly nonetheless, as it offers plenty of action, snappy dialogue, and likable characters. Chris Evans fills the shoes of Toy Story’s Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear with charm and bravado. The production design is incredible and an ode to 1990s science fiction films. Dare I say, Lightyear IS the best 90s sci-fi film not actually released then. Whether you’re a fan of Toy Story or a fan of sci-fi films, or just Pixar movies in general, don’t skip Lightyear!
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsLightyear presents an interesting jumping-off point, exploring the "real" Buzz Lightyear that inspired the toy, and it delivers a fine, albeit unremarkable, cartoon adventure. However, despite its slick animation and earnest spacefaring, the film ultimately feels totally unnecessary and, unfortunately, pretty forgettable.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsStrong performances and attractive visuals keep Lightyear afloat, but the story isn’t the quality you’d expect from Pixar.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsEven Lady Gaga would see this movie in theaters with her husband and her family!!!!!!! Success in 1 hour and 40 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The USA grossed over $118,300,000.00!!!!!!!!!!!
