    Really weak and poorly acted.

Nails the theme and atmosphere perfectly, enough to make it entertaining and nostalgic even with a lack of humor or wow moments.

Fun slasher that rips off from everything. Unfortunately it never really makes a good enough argument for its own existence.

worst role ever for Robert Patrick?

Feels like the plot was made up as they filmed, but it still manages to channel in enough horror energy from the 80's to keep it entertaining.

Although this was a fun concept and would have been an average slasher in the 80's (which is what they were hoping for), but the way it was executed brought nothing to the table (I.e. The missing reel scene). Overall it's not bad if you're a fan of the pointless slashers like I am... So I recommend it to those who have nothing else to watch

I really enjoyed 80's slasher films growing up, but this was kind of boring. Run to the house, run to the barn, run back to house, go to basement, back to barn, back to house.

Just like many slasher films of the 80s, it has a sort of ambience to it; slow-moving pace, below quality acting. There are times in the movie where they superimpose grainy undertones, simulating VHS like quality. They probably should've done that throughout the film, not just here and there. As for the killer, he is just as pointless and gratuitous as many of the Hall of Fame slashers of the 80s. Just because he's not wearing a mask doesn't make him any less vulgar. There are far worse horror films out there, and this one gets it partially right. There are just enough classic 1980s innuendos to keep the veteran fan happy...while making it easy for the casual Horror buff to be entertained.

A bad movie trying to be a bad movie is still a bad movie. It's gets a few things right in its attempt to mirror 80's slasher fluff but particularly in a post Cabin in the Woods world, something like this just feels like a waste of time.
