I thought it was a great doc. Obviously luther died when I was very young. I only knew about his voice. I learned alot about him through this documentary.

A wonderful tribute to an amazingly talented man, who was immensely loved, is still missed, and was definitely gone too soon. This film traces his life and the step-by-step evolution of his career(s), from singing commercial jingles, to in demand backup singer, to the eventual platinum-selling headliner. But it's the quiet moments that really sell it, the behind the scenes anecdotes from the likes of Nat Adderly, Jr., Kevin Owens, Ava Cherry, Fonzi Thornton, or Lisa Fischer, to name a few people who knew him for decades and what life was like around him. I loved every second!!

Singing and crying the whole way through. It was amazing. I grew up on hip hop. I knew but didn’t realize how much Luther played apart in my life’s journey.

This showbiz documentary was really good. The entire crew did a fantastic job on telling the story of one of the greatest singers of all time, Luther Vandross. His life story was dramatic, inspirational, and tragic. If you haven't seen this documentary yet, check it out sometime. It's a must see.

This documentary was done with so much love. It had me smiling, reminiscing and sadly crying for this amazingly beautiful and talented soul. I learned so much about him- what a life! If only he were still here….

Fantastic. After seeing it in the cinema, I'd recommended it to my friends and family before I even got home. A 'must-see'.

Talented and kind that is what strikes you. It could have been more insightful but you never forget the music and his friendships which seemed to be ever lasting with loyalty beyond his death. Quite special.
