Machete Kills
audience Reviews
, 35% Audience Score- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsthe movie is so amusing for me it's serious and that's what i love about it cause it's different and honestly i watched only to see Lady Gaga and Sofia Vergara in the same screen
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsNot as bad as these ratings make it out to be
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsThe first one was terrible why did anyone with half a brain think this leftover would be better. Has beens and neverwas actors. Violence for no reason.
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsThere's a couple of moronically over the top moments that are bound to elicit a chuckle, Charlie Sheen is quite the choice for the role of the President of the United States of America, and Cuba Gooding Jr. seems to be enjoying himself quite a bit (but unfortunately has a very small part). Other than that, this sequel offers up more of what was wrong the first time round (cringy, haphazard writing, confused morals and an aura of ill-advised confidence) and ends up even more lacklustre and basic.
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsThe first "Machete" was very silly but also pretty fun to watch. I feel like "Machete Kills" doubles down on the silliness but loses the fun. The movie has some enjoyable action at times but a lot of it just felt too wacky and boring to me. I really think the movie would have worked better as a standalone after watching this follow-up. The movie just became a real cartoon but the story is just not that good. Overall, it is a movie that features a truly massive and impressive cast, but still isn't able to deliver much worth the time, even for fans of the first movie.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsYou have to buy into the grindhouse parody routine to even come close to liking what Robert Rodriquez has done here with his follow-up to the 2010 Machete. Yes, the story is like mucus and the acting phlegm, but that's what grindhouse movies are, the bronchitis of cinema.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsLoved it. Can hardly wait for kills again in space. Fingers crossed.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThis is a very good movie, a lot of it is just brilliant (especially the ending), of course, it's a pity that "Machete 3 in Space" never came out, but there is always hope, and maybe in 5-10 years we will still see this movie.
