The movie had a cute vibe with John Hamm and Tina Fey, but it was a little light in content. I did care about those lead actors’ characters, but the movie overall is forgettable, unfortunately.

I feel like even when presenting a dark comedy you should be aware that there are some things that are off limits. Ten minutes into this film a plot involving child P*** is presented. We watched for 25 minutes more but decided to bail as child p*** doesn't set a real "comedy" or "satire" mood. I enjoy dark comedy, but this was tone deaf.

Both my daughters and I enjoyed the movie. We were following the romance more than the mystery, however, we did do some research regarding the real victims and were heartbroken over their tragic deaths. It would be good if through the profits of this film the families of the women who were murdered would receive a percentage of the grossing total. Like 100% of the sale of the book, “Princess and Tortuga” by Pery Eos is used to combat child exploitation through donations to Underground Railroad.

A loose slow burn that pays off at the end, redeeming satisfaction besides sporadic humor whilst rewarding those with likable deliverances and bringing down justice to those who don’t. (B)

I am giving this 5 stars for what it is in its genre. It had an engaging plot and mystery with some good chuckles, and the script was smart and well-paced. the mix of all the elements was pleasing. wish it didnt have to throw in random strip club scene. other than that, enjoyed the movie.

A murderer mystery cop story with a dry comedic and romantic touch. It almost feels like a Coen brothers movie. The juxtaposition of punchlines next to the murders comes across a bit unsettling. But that's also one of the messages brought up in the script so in a way it fits.

Witty, funny, not obvious with cliches. When is the last time that I launghed at a so-called comedy within the past ten years? Never. Ham was great. The other leads were not so good. At times the actors LOOKED like they were acting into a camera, rather than conversing with someone. Featuring a Budweiser or a Budweiser sign (or both) in practically every series or movie that has come out of Hollywood has become annoying and and it looks desprate.

This is at least an entertaining film. However, it was described as a "comedy thriller" and I found zero comedy in the film despite Tina Fey and Jon Hamm in the leading roles. I wouldn't go out of my way to see it, but it was good enough to watch on TV for a night in.

It is a good movie. The story is worth following. It has some of the aspects of Fargo stories. The characters are all in transition. It is interesting to see where their personalities lead them. The actors and director keep you watching.

It is a humorous violent movie that is charming. Hallmark meets Fargo. Nora bad watch. Hamm and his deputy have great interactions. Tina Fey is solid.
