It’s surprisingly deep for a film about men waggling their bits on stage...

Worth seeing? Yes. But also 'no'. But mainly 'yes'. So it's a 'yes' with some 'no' caveats. I can now see this isn't so helpful.

Go in search of hen-party diversions and you will be disappointed. Venture out in search of blotched, stylish pseudo-realism and you should be modestly satisfied.

When you realise how anodyne and banal the plot is becoming, it's a disappointment - but the plot is hardly the point.

Like all Soderbergh's best films, from sex, lies, and videotape onwards, Magic Mike is a kind of interactive text.

It's a well-handled, engaging, lightweight picture.

When it comes down to it, this 4K UHD edition is ideal for viewers who are curious about a different-looking experience and aren’t entirely hung up about what may or may not be included.

As always, Soderbergh’s treatment manages to make familiar material into something that surprises us when we realize how emotionally involved we’ve become.

I think for a movie about male dancer I was a bit disappointed in the choreography in the film.

It's a movie about fake people that doesn't feel fake.
