Marfa Girl 2

Clark has progressed little in the years since the film's predecessor, but he's learned one thing: at least "Marfa Girl 2" is 30 minutes shorter than the original.

The most unnecessary sequel in film history.

Clark likes to linger on close-ups of intertwined naked bodies, and he seems to admire these characters' freedom. But ultimately, it all feels whisper thin...

You'd think if you were going to tell a story of isolated Texas nobodies who wind up with families they didn't plan on, you might dig into how they're changed by that reality. But no; there's no change.

...unfortunately for Marfa Girl 2, physicality is favoured over soul and [Clark's] characters continue to not care about their lives, so why should we either?
