- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsWhat is most welcome about this drama is how the dilemma of homosexuality, at a time when it is a criminal offence, is dealt with in a sensible and intelligent way. To know what a virginal Hugh Grant was doing back then.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsthis movie is basically the mainstay of my existence. a timeless story that stays with some people for the rest of their lives.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsImpressive story about a forbidden love. Perfectly cast and set in the most beautiful scenery. What's not to like.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsJust watched this movie for the 3rd time and I'm speechless.. I end up crying every time
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsGood movie but when Hugh Grant advertised as the star I assumed he was Maurice. Was surprised to see an actor I'd never heard of was Maurice. Also, later in film when Hugh Grant's hair was slicked back and he sported a mustache he sort of resembled Freddie Mercury.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsMaurice is a pleasant piece of queer period drama with a satisfying story and a superb cast. This film explored its subject more deeply than I expected and was surprisingly balanced. Although it properly recognized the stigma of the age, this film found a way to make a complete story without losing itself in the hardships of queer love in the early twentieth century.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsMade and released in the height of the AIDS crisis, this film is iconic in every sense of the word.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsTremendos gays, la recomiendo para la educación de los niños, es una joya de arte
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsThis film handles the LGBT subject area quite well. Its a thought provoking watch and it features good performances from the main cast (James Wilby, Rupert Graves and Hugh Grant). Its a good period drama that I'd recommend.
