- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsThe story telling was too slow. The suspense build up was so hyped that i was expecting far better climax. Overall, not worst but not good.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsSriram Raghvan has always been one of my favorites. Like His other movies, he has given his magical touch here too. The thriller wasn't that complex but the presentation was brilliant. Specially i loved the vibe of this movie. The romantic portion was really grounded as i felt that. The most important part of this movie was music. The use of music was superb. It's a must watch
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsAcing both 80s vibes and Hitchcockian suspense, Sriram Raghavan's "Merry Christmas" is a captivating whodunnit mystery that has a unique twist.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsSriram Raghavan returns with yet another thriller that relies heavily on the chemistry of it's lead pair. Merry Christmas is slightly off when it comes to release dates but the original date had a lot of conflicts attached to it. Nevertheless, watching this seasonal film in the new year works as well. Set sometime in the past (when Mumbai was called Bombay), Albert returns to the city on Christmas Eve. He goes out for a drink, where he meets Maria (& her daughter), who invites him home. But as the night progresses, a shocking surprise awaits them both. If you have Vijay Sethupathi in a movie, count me in. I will lap it up come what may. Especially if he is speaking in Hindi. Merry Christmas has him in excellent form. Sethupathi knows how to do subtle and he does it really well here. As Albert, he becomes a person, who has a dark past but he just wants to forget it and move on. Maria played by Katrina Kaif may well be her best onscreen performance till date. The pair compliment each other brilliantly! An unlikely pair but an effective one. The supporting cast members, Vinay Pathak, Sanjay Kapoor do well. Radhika Apte, Gayathrie Shankar have brief roles. Merry Christmas starts off slow but picks up pace and builds on the suspense around the 40 minute mark. Though it doesn't reach the heights set by Andhadhun, Raghavan's latest stands tall with its romance influenced thriller plot. So, do check it out!
