- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsI have plenty of positives about MOB LAND, this film has plenty of surprises to offer, either being a fantastic directoral debut from Nicholas Maggio, the gritty and hard hitting plot, the great performances and me saying HOLY Sh-t multiple times. Stephan Dorff acts like his career on the line with an amazing showing, the whole cast do their job in this great modern day Travolta.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsOverall atmosphere is spot on for this film. Cast really attempt to convince in character but something lacks, could not quite get a handle on it. Cinematography is good enough and story not too shabby. It does create suspense and with the twists and turns it entertains. Travolta, Dorff, Fernandez, Benson and Dillon adds color to the story
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsI want the time I spend watching this movie, back!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsMob Land is an ambitious compelling season 1. It takes the crime family cliche and turns it on its head. It brings originality and depth to every character. The acting is top notch by familiar first rate actors. The writing is well done. The moments of dark humor are wild and contrast the emotional intensity. The violence is pretty grisly but goes hand in hand with the subtext. Harry is the glue in the series. It's a surprisingly very good watch. I can't wait for season 2.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsEnjoying it so far but accents are terrific and some meaningless sub plots Tom hardy masterful performance
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWow what an Awesome show and Great Acting! Cannot wait to see Episode 2!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe start of another great, Tom Hardy brill, more of the same
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsI went in to this with low expectations. One of the reasons was one of the leading characters was played by Shiloh Fernandez. I do not recall seeing him in anything before but I was pleasantly surprised by his performance. John Travolta is typically solid and this was no exception. And I thought this was one of Stephen Dorff's best performances. Solid acting. Good story. Enough action to keep me interested. Definitely worth watching.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThis is Southern Noir for the 21st century. The cast is excellent and each clearly understands that director Nicholas Maggio is departing from the predictable step by step Studio roller-coaster ride. He and and co-writer Healy are telling a story. This movie engages the thinking parts of the brain, as well as rewarding the senses with beautiful cinematography and a perfectly fit repertoire of new blues country music. An intelligent, insightful, movie where John Travolta does quietly well and Stephen Dorff powerfully carries this masterpiece.
