The creator of the original 15th episode of Gundam thought it was horrible. And so, his prayers were answered with this masterpiece.

A love letter to all Gundam Fans. If you enjoyed the original Mobile Suit Gundam series from 1979, mecha anime or just science fiction watch this movie. The movie and scenes flowed so seamlessly and the animation and sound was exceptional. And it's great in English Dub or English Sub.

The animation style was beautiful and the story was good. This movie stayed true to the original animation pacing and true to the characters. This was a great time and I enjoyed it overall. The only thing I would say I disliked about it would be that there are areas in the story that are very slow and could have been sped up or just cut out. A few more battle scenes or longer battle scenes would have been nice and the few that are there, are beautifully done. I would totally recommend this to everyone. This is a good movie and brings that excitement that makes your hair stand up or at least for me it did.

The movie was very enjoyable, more tailored for those that know the UC timeline but isn't to much for newcomers.

Great anime movie, hoping for more gundam showing in theaters.

I dug the way that they managed to use newer animation while keeping it visually close to the original. The animation advances were most notable with the fight sequences. The major thing holding it back was the fact that it would be fairly inaccessible for new viewers. I am aware that it is a remake of the 15th episode of 0079, but feel that they missed out on making it more open to new viewers rather than catering solely to fans.

There were some references I definitely missed since I was rusty on my original Gundam knowledge, the movie was nicely contained and had a satisfying story. Some of the character illustrations and movements were a little odd, the mecha portions were beautiful. Enjoyed it!

It was like being a kid again watching the rx-78 against zaku. Seeing the classic style of the characters again and seeing modern touches to the combat. Watching Doan deftly maneuver his Zaku and out class other ace pilots who had new better suits was a thrill.
