Monkey Man

Very confusing, it’s a different culture, acting is poor and obvious. I don’t see how it is a BAFTA nominee.

Started slow but once things happen it is non stop. Great fight scenes

Enjoyable film with a mystical feel that is wonderfully captured by the always excellent Dev Patel. Great fight scenes with enigmatic costumes and scenery. Well worth a watch.

If you like good action oriented movies then this one is for you!

I would have never thought of Dev Patel as an action actor, but boy, did he delivered! Can't wait for his next flick.

EPIC AND MY #1 REVENGE MOVIE

Fun to watch, good lighting and choreography, but not top of the class. The characters and story are so simple that it becomes a slight detriment and makes the movie a little less interesting, as you can always be sure where things will go.

Decent film, well worth watching plenty action Would recommend

Revenge movie dall'animo forte e cruento, che mostra il talento di Dev Patel per l'ennesima volta davanti allo schermo e per la prima volta anche alla regia. E proprio intorno a lui girano gli aspetti più positivi del film; dalle ambientazioni vere, crude e poco esplorate della parte più povera dell'India che quasi ricorda "The Millionaire" e che rende originale ed accattivante le location e le sequenze. Questo aspetto molto cinematografico negli ultimi anni sta guadagnando terreno come dimostrano film come "La tigre Bianca" permettendo anche di rendere originale un revenge movie che stando alla sola trama, non lo sarebbe così tanto. Dev Patel riesce anche a creare un personaggio molto interessante a cui si abbina la solita ottima interpretazione mimica e fisica. I colori e la fotografia rendono ancor più interessante il prodotto finale a cui forse manca un finale degno di nota; ma che consapevoli della trama, non sarebbe stato facile immaginare.

Was so juiced for this movie and when the combat starts with a tense and fantastic scene everything else seems to fade unable to maintain the frenetic brilliance of that scene. Falls into same tired kung fu movie trappings with one of the most ridiculous and weak final bosses the likes of which we haven't seen since Harrison Ford and that semi effete doctor he gets into an awkward rich guy slap fight with at the end of "The Fugitive"
