They failed to really make me care what was happening. Lorraine Bracco was not utilized to her potential. Mason Thames did great with what he was given. I have no real opinion on the Mel Gibson character anyone could have played that part. As for Patrick Renna, “You’re killing me, Smalls!” It’s good David Henrie has “Wizards” to fall back on because being a good director is not a talent he possesses.

I really liked this film . The action was ok but the story itself was great overall . Mel Gibson and Mason Thames were great in this film . a great fun kids horror film .

As far as kid Summer adventures go, it was decent. It started off good, it dragged for about 30 minutes, and had an entertaining ending.

The pace is a little slow at times. Mel Gibson is good in it. The main protagonist Noah is not bad. It’s worth a watch, but it’s not my favorite.

Fun and entertaining. A movie the kids and parents will enjoy. Mel Gibson delivers an excellent performance and the plot may not be the most sophisticated design but is fun and entertaining and that’s all that matters. Nothing inappropriate for kids and that’s what matters to me.

A simple mystery, a bit of humor, and refreshing character lessons. Enjoyed it! We need more movies for families, like this one

It wouldn’t be fair to say that Mel Gibson arrived this film but I will say you can see his stamp on it. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. This is a film that I wish came about when I was 12-13. The writing was simple but good . There were sole parts that were a little corny and didn’t flow that well, however it did all come together . There’s a way Mel Gibson delivers certain lines that I always notice it’s like he rumbles through the uncomfortable parts just to give context , it’ just seemed a bit rushed .

I took my 10-year-daughter to see this movie and she loved it. It was a good old fashioned scary kids movie that I grew up with so I was happy too.
