Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol

Loved this as a kid, and still love it now. I have the DVD version so nothing is cut out. The songs are memorable and the graphics sharp and lively. The idea of framing the story in a play was different and adds a novel approach. A must see for me every Christmas season. 🎄

Faithful to the source material and a pioneer in animated Christmas specials.

This was my first introduction to Dicken's "A Christmas Carol" back when I was a child in the 1960s. It remains my favorite. It has a stellar cast, and does a good job of combining the slapstick comedy of Mr. Magoo with the pathos of the Dickens story. It is structured as a stage play, so you get the silly behind-the scenes action interspersed with the straight on drama. I remember being scared of the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come (in a good way!); the entire production was very moving. It's a musical and the songs are good, too. I think even someone who is seeing this for the first time would enjoy it.

The soundtrack is the greatest of any Christmas Carol out there.

I never watched this as a kid, but thankfully, I discovered this hidden gem, in time to sharit w/my kids! Great score! Songs will def stay with u... They really captured tha magic of "A Christmas Carol", and put it to music.

Classic animated Christmas Carol, with a wonderful musical score. Watched it every year until it was no longer shown on TV . Had to buy my own copy. Not to be missed if you're a fan of the Dickens Christmas story!!! Love it!!

Classic adaptation of "A Christmas Carol" that mixes in Mr. Magoo's blind hijinks with a beautiful story about Christmas. Considered the first animated Christmas special, this still holds up as one of the best, thanks to a timeless story along with a nice device of Mr. Magoo putting on a play about "A Christmas Carol". Great viewing every Christmas.

Been watching this every Christmas Season since it came out! It is a mpermanent part of my family holiday tradition!
