Having a masterful attention to detail combined with Spielberg's brilliant direction, Munich does have a few problems with its pacing, especially during its start and ending, but it is a great retelling of the Munich massacre and the Mossad Operation that is structured really well, is emotionally complex and has several thrilling sequences.

Munich is a good hitman film, great dialogue and once again Spielberg adding the artwork cinematography. I liked how this film touch the subject of killing someone most film ignore that emotion. Other than that is a good movie to watch about a subject that to this day still resonates.

This is one of the most intense movies I have ever seen. The story was compelling and brutal, and it has some of the most suspenseful scenes I've ever seen in a movie. I definitely recommend it for history and suspense fans!

Filme mais ou menos, o roteiro é fraco, o filme teve pouquíssimas cenas boas, praticamente 2 cenas, a história é fraca e desinteressante, o elenco é fraco e ninguém faz o filme melhorar, nem mesmo os protagonistas do filme.

A Political Thriller Classic. Bana gives a really solid perforomance and one of the best I've ever seen from him. Editing and pacing are really good here with solid direction. Everything else is Good here. That being said, this isn't perfect. There is A LOT of ideas here. The relationships with the CIA, Cold War, Arab-Israeli tensions, the character devlopment of Bana, the inner turmoil with the government, and a crap ton of moral commentary. Despite almost a 3 hour runtime it somehow is bloated with ideas but it doesn't feel that way at all. A big part of that is the committed slow burn this has to the entire runtime. This never really ramps up but just keeps you glued with the intense assassinations which along with the opening are the best moments. There really well setup and filled with tension and are all unique. This can have a episodic feel to it as well because of how many kills there are and the downtime in between. I almost think that a Miniseries may have been the better way to go here with fully exploring something like this because of just how much stuff is here to breakdown. But in the hands of a lesser director this would'nt have worked. If you didn't tell me who directed this I would have no idea this was Spielberg. His direction isn't very distinct but the style and especially the camerawork is strong. This has a very dark and dull lighting and extremely serious tone the entire way with zero humor. But Spielberg's frmaing and camerawork makes up for that. This can feel very dry at times though and I wish it wasn't so dark and super serious. I wish there was a bit more life to it at times. I do understand how serious the subject matter is. Despite not loving it, I could'nt turn away and was interested the entire time. It does a great job making it all work. I do wish besides Bana & Craig the other characters got more devlopment and stuck out more. The serious monotone style makes it difficult for other personalities to be memorable. Also, this does to an extent I feel expect you to know something going into it about what the general idea of the Cold War/Arab Israeli conflict is at a birds eye level. It can be a bit much if you don't and doesn't really explain it that well but you can get a general enough idea. Anyone who is a fan of Spielberg, wants to learn more about the Munich Attack, any actors in this, or thrillers should check this out. As could as this was though I would'nt watch it again personally but I did appreciate it.

Watched it because I saw the September 5th trailer. So maybe I came into it expecting a thriller. The first half I was into but it lost me.

Steven Spielberg is among my all-time favorite filmmakers, because I can just feel the passion in every film he has made, and "Munich" is no exception to that trend. This is a movie that I had actually watched some of in the past, but just never got around to finishing. As it had been years since I started it last, I finally watched it from start to finish and was engrossed the whole way through. Yes it is a long film and it often does feel like it, but there are so many thrilling and intense moments that make it a truly engaging watch. I do feel the pacing is a bit inconsistent and the movie aims to cover a lot of ground, but for the most part, this is a good movie with complex moral questions and plenty to engage and thrill the audience. I think Eric Bana is superb in this as well and his quiet performance is really what acting is all about. Overall, it's a good film that only continues to confirm that Spielberg has one of the most diverse filmographies and is something that entertains while also leaving an impact.

Dark in places but its a gritty part of history told well. Craig and Bana are superb.

As my favorite movie of all time I must say this film is criminally underrated. It is impeccably done. The heavy and dark undertones run deep through this consummate historic drama. The grittiness is nothing short of potent. Bana’s performance is as best as we’ve ever seen. The even-handedness and truthfulness that Spielberg portrays is no easy task yet he does so flawlessly. Bear in mind this film is as close to real life espionage as any normative person will see. Absolutely incredible and a monumental cinematic achievement to boot!
