Munna Michael

Noisy, silly, and sometimes rather fun. I just wish it weren't such a hot mess.

Even if you were in a particularly lenient frame of mind, you wouldn't be able to bring yourself to spot anything at all in the film that could be held up as a redeeming feature.

Munna Michael's not breaking any new ground, but his moves are certainly infectious.

Munna Michael may pass muster as an industrially sculpted film meant for entertainment, but its underlying normalisation and glorification of street violence, male entitlement and dismissal of consent could be lethal.

What this movie lacks is self-belief and great music. If the whole point of the film was to make it a tribute to Michael Jackson then MJ's original tunes should have been used.

This isn't the right tribute to the moonwalking King Of Pop.

Shroff's ease with his role surpasses Siddiqui's hamminess.

Shroff is the perfect old-school hero, with screen presence and action skills to match. Now if only someone would give him a good script to play with.
