Mutant Chronicles
audience Reviews
, 24% Audience Score- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsIm stumped by the poor reviews of this film. The characters are well developed and relatable. The main character (Thomas Jane) is a world weary everyman that strives to hold on to his humanity in the very worst of times. The story revolves around a suicide mission undertaken by a small group of volunteers striving to save mankind. The action is non stop and gory. The ending is powerful and reaffirming. If you want Shakespeare or Ibsen skip this movie. If you want to watch an action movie filled to the brim with violent close quaters combat scenes held together by an uplifting and purpose driven narrative I strongly recommend giving it a view.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsIt was without doubt the worst movie I've ever seen. I only continued watching it out of morbid curiosity, to see how bad it actually is. It did not fail to disappoint!
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsI remember watching this years ago, it's not a fantastic film but it's pretty cool and entertaining!
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsStupid. Waste of time.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsI found its visual style to be super cool and unique. The obvious low budget and goofy looking makeup takes you back a bit. However the stellar cast keeps things interesting and fun. The plot was all over the place and the pacing felt slightly rushed, like it was heavily edited down for time.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsI remember catching part of this online a few years back and thinking it must have been a bootlegged copy because of how it looked. Turns out, after seeing it on streaming on a television, it's supposed to look like that. So much c.g.i., green screen, and color distortion.... it hurts to look at. The story and idea will not stop being intriguing but it's a lot to visually digest and process, probably too much for most people.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsDefinitely not the greatest nor the worst thing I have seen..good blood and gore though so that's a redeeming quality for the film
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsThis is a movie that grows on you the more times you see it. The first time i watched it, it was "meh". The second time it was on, it was just background noise, but i found myself watching it. The acting is good and the story is actually pretty interesting. The gray scale throughout the movie is a little much in my opinion. The blood and graphics leave some to be desired and the grayscale seems to light the "fakeness" of it right up. All in all, it's a pretty decent time killer.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsA very trivial movie, not worth seeing. And it has absolutely nothing to do with the original ambientation of 'Mutant Chronicles'. A true disappointment to fan of the franchise and a mediocre movie for science fiction aficionados. I gets 4 out of 10.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsI may be the only one, I may be blinded by the fact that i zlove Ron Pearlman. This is all a bad acting movie, the CGI - what CGI one might ask, the script is beyond poor, if you accept that the film is bad, you might just find yourdelf enjoying it.
