My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising
audience Reviews
, 98% Audience Score- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsHaving not yet seen the most recent movie You're Next, this is the best of the other three My Hero Academia movies, mainly for the teamup at the end between Deku and Bakugo, at a level not seen in the TV series. The villain is solid, and the general plot is the best of the first three.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsYou absolutely NEED to watch this movie. It has amazing fight scenes, awesome characters, and an absolutely insane ending. If you’ll have never watched mha before this 1. Mha is absolutely amazing it’s a 11/10 show and personally my favorite anime ever. And 2. this movie will jumpstart you straight into the story, while also giving you context and where in the seasons this movie takes place. This Hero’s rising takes place at the end of season 5, and it has a lot of references and they mention multiple scenes for the actual show show you may not get those if you haven’t watched the show, but without fail it finds a way to grab you attention. I am completely up to date with all of the mha anime so I found the jokes and references to be very funny and helpful at starting the story. Definitely a must watch especially for die hard fans. Go beyond. PLUS ULTRA !!!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsTruth be told, this is my first viewing of anything "My Hero Academia" related, so take this review as an outsiders perspective of the movie. "Hero's Rising" does a good enough job introducing the premise to anyone unfamiliar with the property. There is a Villain named Nine who has the ability to steal hero's quirks. The experiment that gave him this power has shortened his life. To live long enough to work out his villainous plan he must steal the quirk of a small child to heal himself. Once he does this, he will use his new powers to take over the world. Deku and class 1A must put a stop to nine and his evil team. The action in this movie is very well done. It is creative, over the top, well animated and has good music accompaniment. The story also makes good use of every member of the team, just about every classmate had their moment to shine. But at the end of the day this becomes Deku and Bakugo's story. And their rivalry/teamwork is done quite well. The story is pretty basic, with some pretty predictable story beats. And the villains are very bland. Their evil scheme is nothing new and their motivation is the same old- make the world fit for just the strong- routine we've seen to death. Even though I'm new to this world, I still found Deku's narration unnecessary. He would often just be thinking about what was going on right in front of him, and we the audience can already see that. He would be panting and bleeding, and we would hear him think " I sure am tired"... yeah we could tell from the panting and bleeding. It didn't really add any insight. The stakes aren't very personal in this tale. The heroes are only opposing the villains becuas that is their literal 9 to 5 job. And the villains have nothing against the heroes, they just happen to be in their way. But for the same old anime stuff, this movie does a pretty good job at it. Good heroes, bad villains, lessons on togetherness and believing in yourself all that stuff. The movie does not waste much time and I won't waste anymore of yours. If you like the show, chances are you'll like this, but even if you haven't seen an episode, this is still a pretty good time.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe best my hero movie by a long shot. The villains are both intimidating and interesting the whole class gets to be involved and make contributions to winning and saving the situation and the set piece of baby island is very interesting to see and experience. The final fight gets emotional and incredible and I enjoyed every minute of the film
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsThe second movie from My Hero Academia is a non stop action thrill ride from beginning to end. with high stakes and dangerous villain. rises this movie to be better then the first movie. and one of My Hero's best storylines.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThe second feature film in the beloved anime series. It’s not as good as Two Heroes but the movie is still an blast to watch with beautiful animation and kinetic action sequences
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsI'm no anime watcher and I'm not a fan of MHA. But this Anime movie is a colorful watch.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsAnimation was an absolute masterpiece!
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsThe bromance between Deku and Bakugo is strong in this film that's some of the highest praise. my main problem with this movie is way too much action as it feels like there's no time to breathe ❌spoilers❌ another positive is when deku and Bakugo share one for all explaining it later as him forgetting it is a little cheap, but still a good sequence overall, my hero academia hero's raising is a passable entry in the my hero academia series 5/10
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI like the movie a lot. I have watched it more than three times, and I still want more. The movie is about 1 hour and 44 minutes long, including all credits, which can keep audiences' attention throughout the whole film. Even though most characters are from the My Hero Academia series, the storyline is about It isn't connected to the stories in the series that much, so anyone who has never watched the series can watch it without being confused. In addition, all the main villains are new, and that makes it much easier for them to understand. Also, the movie is easy to watch. I highly recommend this movie to all anime beginners. The story progresses smoothly, and the plot is easy to understand. Although the scenes often switch to show the story from the villain's and hero's sides, the film isn't confusing at all. This movie is full of emotions—excited, imbued, panicked, frightened, angry, sorry, etc.—making it easy to attract to and fun to watch. I love how the film focuses on kindness and helping people. All characters are well presented. The storyline is well linked and interesting. And the animation was great as usual. The fighting scene is fantastic!
