My Hero Academia: You're Next
audience Reviews
, 91% Audience Score- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis movie was amazing. The animation and scenes were just above and beyond. Love it.
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsMore quirky quirks and fun heroics and villainy.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsFollowing the MHA series from the start, this is by far its worst movie ever. The animation was good, and the plot was okay, but the fight scenes and ending were just like usual. However, that was the problem; it was just like the previous movies. I would say it was worse. The villain had no proper backstory or motive, and the only saving grace was a couple who had a backstory, but it was half-baked. Previous MHA movies were predictable, but they were still fun. Doing the same thing again and again is disappointing. The scale of the villain's ability was very high, and it should have been a more manageable level with fewer characters and more powerful writing. Honestly, the UA class and even the pro heroes cast were just unnecessary. If it were a series, I would understand the need for side characters, but this is a movie. I expected more Deku moments and some growth in his abilities, judgment, or intellect, instead of relying on the same "big last fight scene" as always. Edit: What the heck with this AI reviews? - Rating: 3 out of 5 starsTook too long to get to the good stuff. Villain was unoriginal and boring.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThe best of the My Hero Academia movies so far. In this one, an imposter All Might who calls himself Dark Might takes Class 1A hostage in a fake virtual world, and Deku, Bakugo, Todoroki and the gang try to stop him. "You're Next" also centres on the relationship between Giulio Gandini and Anna Scervino, who Dark Might also takes hostage, as Deku teams up with Giulio to try and save Anna. In the timeline, this is just after the Traitor Arc, which is why a certain character is not in the film (I will not spoil who it is), and before the big Final War that ends the series. Hopefully the end of the series doesn't prevent any further MHA films from being made.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsIām speechless about all of these movies and the MHA series. You have to watch! Most exited about the release on Netflix, Iām so excited to see it. I just know it will be amazing!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsSUCH A AWSOME MOVIE TO PUT IN THE SERIES!!!
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsThis was so bad, Asia deserves to burn, Deku's voice is so annoying and I hope he never finds happiness ever again
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsIs fine but don“t fit the storyline. All the movie keep me thinking "Deku supposed to be the most powerful and here is just lame". It doesn“t fit the power that deku supposed to have, then introducced characters that make you clear they will be useless on the future, so the movie is just a filler, not really important.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis movie is really good at one thing specifically and that would be animation. Easily the best animation in any movie I have ever seen, ever. Outside of that itās like a 6-7/10 movie but I give it 5 Star status simply because of its animation. I really want to hammer it in that you should only really watch this movie because of its animation lol.
