My Little Pony: The Movie

so amazing. the mane 6 going through the parts of equestria that we don't see in the show was amazing. everything was amazing. also i have nostalgia of watching this on Kodi.

My Little Pony the movie from 2017 is my number 1 best animated film from 2017 I give this film a 10/10

It's pretty good! The animation style definitely took some getting used to, but with all the original VA's and cast, it wasn't that hard of a jump. I do find it odd they shoved as many big names celebrities into the film as possible, but I guess that's just show bizz. Tempest was a great villain, way more menacing than any prior MLP villain before or since, except maybe Tirek. The music (which there is a LOT of,) is just fantastic, the visuals are bright and colorful, the story flows pretty good and the world is heavily expanded on. I feel like having the MLP movie be smack in the middle of the TV series could be a bit confusing however.

Retrospectively speaking, the 2017 "My Little Pony" movie was a WAY better watch than "My Little Pony: A New Generation" will ever be. Some things about this motion picture do keep it from being 100% flawless, and they're mainly reasons for why I'm interested in seeing an extended-director's cut of the film someday, but…it has a much more engaging storyline, catchier music and songs, greatly distinct characters and vocal performances, and amazing animation.

Amazing, underrated, great portrayal of pinkie pie, big feels, fun characters, jammin songs, best for mlp fans but others can still enjoy.

IT SUUUUUUKS. The plot is just formulaic, at least the songs are good and Taye Diggs kills it as capper, but, the plot is just the mane 6 fighting Liev Schreber with Tempest just getting in the way. 1 star.
