- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsRating: 83%. This seems to be the film that made Studio Ghibli popular. I enjoyed it and thought the animation was good for its time. The plot was entertaining and well-written. The sound and voice acting (English) were fantastic. They did a good job of evoking different emotions in the audience, and it was a cute movie overall. However, it isn't Ghibli's best. It did feel a bit slow at times, but I enjoyed the nostalgia vibes.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsSuch a classic movie. It’s not exactly trying to be a really good story, it’s very simple. But the simplicity in its story adds to its charm and gives the movie such a magical vibe. Studio Ghibli struck absolute gold with this classic 😌
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsWhile the mother recuperates, two young girls and their father settle into an old country home that is rumored to be haunted. Miyazaki cannot make a bad film. Full of invigorating innocence embodied by two realistic children, this film captures the magic we sensed when we were young. I also loved seeing the soot sprites again.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWonderful tale and universe.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsMy Neighbor Totoro is a charming, feel-good family film that does its job perfectly. If you're looking for a beautifully animated nostalgic adventure
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis heartwarming film steps beyond the boundaries of modern anime films. I was laughing, crying and smiling throughout this extraordinary film. The beauty of this film is truly mind blowing. How does a children’s film tackle emotional struggle, sickness and settling into a new home in one film? I do not know but Studio Ghilbi does, thank you Hayao Miyazaki for another must see. A truly beautiful nostalgic film about the true meaning of childhood.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsNot a lot of story, definitely for kids.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsJust an absolute classic! It still looks so beautiful and has such a sense of wonder.
