My Week With Marilyn

- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsGreat film that takes on Marylin Monroe. Shows some of Marylin's love and sorrow towards others and her struggles through her immaculate career.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsI watched this on DVD recently. I was expecting not to like it, but to my surprise I really did. The story is thoroughly engaging, and the acting is first rate, which results in a very compelling and enjoyable film. It felt very authentic, and it was fascinating to see how films used to be made at Pinewood studios, which I imagine is nothing like how modern films are made now. I don't know much about Marilyn Monroe, so I take what is shown of her at face value, but she certainly seems to have been a colourful character. I recommend this film, and would suggest to anyone to give it a watch, even if you think it"s not your thing.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsA surprisingly good movie! Michelle Williams is perfect casting for Marilyn, the most alluring vamp ever. There's not much plot or suspense, but it's forgotten in the Marilyn field, where she shows what gave her the star power she had. I probably won't watch it again but I'm glad I watched it once.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsMichelle Williams steals every scene she is in as Marilyn Monroe and really gives an insight as to what made the actress so compelling in the first place.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsA reasonable enough story, with some decent acting performances.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsWhy do we love Marilyn so much? this movie showed us what it really was that got our attention. it was for her relatability in wanting to be loved and the unending desire that she wanted to love others. there will never be anyone like her in the history of entertainment or really close to anyone you will know. Michele did a great job in not making her a gimmick but really showed the frame of her and also what fears and motivations she truly had the imagery was great. and perspective of this was one we can possibly understand when it comes to friends and relationships and ultimately experiences we search out and how we remember them. solid movie.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsNot a bad movie at all. I found this to be very entertaining as I was not much of a Marilynn or Olivier fan but it held my attention. Williams did a good job as Monroe.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsMichelle Williams as usual steals the show capturing the magnetism and vulnerability of Marilyn Monroe. Eddie Redmayne also delivers big. The direction and screenplay are flawed.
