, 74% Audience Score- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsWell performed but loses steam as it gets closer to an ending with conflict.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsThere's no character development at any stage, slow and finally headed nowhere.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI thought it was good. Good portrayal of a mentally ill person (paranoid schizophrenia). Never knew Homewood/Birmingham could look so seedy (just kidding not surprising) Hey, and Negan too!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsTwo unlikely allies come together in a crazy way you can say Morgan and Quaid wow It was insane at times but it had heart and you can feel it throughout the movie You're going to get some good jokes action and blood so what else do you need.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsBest movie I have watched in a long time! The only thing I would want different is to know what happened to Simon.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsLoved this movie, love Jeffrey Dean Morgan
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsA good movie, intelligent and entertaining.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsIt was refreshing to watch a film about regular, everyday people and not be put to sleep. While the script and deliveries from Jack Quaid and Jeffery Dean Morgan may be wittier than daily banter the film did not have me rolling my eyes or sighing that ‘this could never happen in real life.’ NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH reminds me of a Twilight Zone episode with a message subtly woven into this buddy film. This is a gem and should be widely watched.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsEvery once in a while those two odd puzzle pieces you just can’t figure out end up fitting together perfectly. That’s the case for Simon & Ed. These two polar opposites attract and end up being exactly what the other person needed in the other life. For Simon, Ed was a positive male role model that provided him reassurance in times that he needed it most. As he helps Simon regain his interpersonal communication skills, he slowly starts to help remove the intruding thoughts of his dad from taking over. For Ed, Simon provided not only a cure for his boredom but a chance to prove to someone that he is not a “has been”. Ed grows softer towards Simon throughout the film while still treating him like an adult. His security skills turn into nurture & friendship in the last minutes. Overall good acting but the story seems to never really climax. Leaving you to wonder if more could have been done with the talent that they had here.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsThere's sweetness and laughter in the authenticity with which the film's relevant themes are presented. It immerses us in mental illness, rejection, and the lack of empathy within society. It's a film that, despite its simplicity, manages to capture moments of great tension and anxiety with accurate direction and without great fanfare. A proposal anchored in the idea of human connection and what it means to do the right thing in the face of paralyzing doubt, which transforms into a charismatic portrait of its protagonists, inviting you to spend some quality time in front of the screen with a film that truly becomes your best companion in that moment. It doesn't pretend to be anything more than what it offers, and with that, it's more than enough to capture your attention and also your charm.
