Neil Young: Coastal

1.75 hours of real music footage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I admire his talent and I knew the material, but I think he is so much better with a band.

What a guy! What a journey! What a movie!

It was nice to see scenes from a tour that are fairly quiet and uneventful, and parts of concerts in beautiful outdoor settings. If you love Neil Young, you might like this movie. And if you dont like Neil Young much or know much about him, you would hate this movie. It is filmed in black-and-white largely by Daryl Hannah, who tries to stay out of the movie as much as she can and documents a few things that are beautiful, and a few that are funny and a few that are just slow and long shots.

A very quiet and intimate look at this iconic and treasured musician. We loved everything about this film, from the black and white style, cinematography, and close-in but not crowded feel. Not a lot of time is wasted on crowd shots or reactions, In fact, the crowd noise is barely there in the mix. The music is of course transcendent. My partner is younger and really never followed NY's music, but came away with an appreciation of both the music and the absolute 'presence' of Neil. See it in theaters if you can.

Fantastic look at a complex entertainer! Neil is very transparent in this film, and it has an amazing juxtaposition of his personal life on the bus with his performing life on stage. Jerry Don Borden is a close friend of many years, and his part in the film is amazing. Bus drivers RULE! This is a must-see film if you love Neil Young. COASTAL

If you're a fan of Neil Young, it's an intimate look at his life on the road during his 2023 Coastal Tour. On the bus, in different venues & his wry wit on stage. I loved it!

I cant even give this one star. Its literally the worst thing Ive ever seen. WTH?? Who in their tight mind would put something out like this?

Neil Young is so talented.
