Loved this movie. Really funny, and some genuinely beautiful moments - evidence there is still good in the world. It’s so hard to find good movies these days - but this is one!

Looking for a fun, upbeat, unpredictable movie? I didn't know what to expect but this was a refreshingly funny picture. Writers, directors and cast were great.

A very well scripted movie that built up the characters and really had you rooting for them at home

Such a funny, and heartwarming film! I’m not sure why there are so many bad reviews. To me at least this feels very fresh and original, but to be fair I haven’t seen too many sports films so maybe it isn’t but to me it seemed that way. A solid 9/10!

Good fun sports comedy inspired by the true story of the American Samoa soccer / football team. This really is one of those light 'feel good' movies, well led by Michael Fassbender and a great cast of characters. Great family film if you are just after some heart-warming fun with no expletives to worry about.

A funny, heartwarming movie made in Taika Waititi's earnest, signature style. I avoided seeing this movie in theaters because the critics panned it. Big mistake. This movie is fantastic. I absolutely do not understand why the critics would scuttle it like they did.

Directed by Academy Award Winner Taika Waititi (Jojo Rabbit, Thor: Ragnarok), NEXT GOAL WINS follows the American Samoa soccer team, infamous for their brutal 31-0 FIFA loss in 2001. With the World Cup Qualifiers approaching, the team hires down-on-his-luck, maverick coach Thomas Rongen (Michael Fassbender) hoping he will turn the world's worst soccer team around in this heartfelt underdog comedy.

**Next Goal Wins** is a heartwarming and humorous ride that takes us into the world of the American Samoa national soccer team, once dubbed the worst in the world. Directed by Taika Waititi, the film delivers a predictable yet undeniably charming underdog story. Michael Fassbender stars as Thomas Rongen, the eccentric coach tasked with turning the ragtag team into serious contenders. Though you can see the ending coming from a mile away, the journey there is filled with quirky characters, endearing moments, and a lot of heart. Waititi’s unique comedic touch adds a lighthearted spin to the typical sports narrative, making it feel fresh despite its familiar beats. The movie shines with its vibrant depiction of island life and the infectious spirit of the team. **Next Goal Wins** might not surprise you, but it will surely leave you smiling. A solid 3.5-star feel-good flick!

Next Goal Wins is a hilarious, sweet, and charming story. My theater was cracking up the whole time. The plot is based on a true story and packed with Samoan tradition and culture, which I love to see on the big screen. The plot itself was pretty typical and it has some similarities to other underdog sport stories. It’s pacing was fast and I kinda wish they would have dived more into character development and such. But it’s short and simple film.
