I think this was a disappointing take on the demon/zombie survival with lackluster scares and some really goofy situations. I think I'd skip this honestly if you're looking for more than a time waster.

If you like '80s horror movies, you should check this one out. I grew up in the '80s, and I don't know how I missed seeing this one. Definitely recommend it.

I was in the mood for 80s horror last night and love watching 80s horror . I find myself laughing at the bad humor alot in this movie. Oh because having a party on Halloween at a funeral parlor is a fantastic idea. The makeup was really good. 5.3/10 it was ok for the makeup and bad humor.

This is a fun cheesy B-movie after 35 years It's not meant to be high art maybe that's why it made a decent profit but ultimately got negative reviews when it first came out Kevin S. Tenney delivers one of the rare horror films centered around Halloween On the scariest night of the year a bunch of teenagers are dressed up ready to paint the town red; Mimi Kinkade/Angela and her friend Linnea Quigley/Suzanne are hosting a Halloween party at the abandoned Hull House It's said to be haunted and seems like the perfect place to have fun But they unknowingly awaken the spirits of the possessed residence...evil beings that have never existed in human form...demons One by one each of them are killed and taken over by the demonic entities leaving only Judy and Roger to escape the horrors The characters are 80s cliches as you'd expect and some of the acting is stiff but there's fantastic gore and makeup effects for those patient enough to get to the good stuff And that rocking soundtrack matches the tone The synthesizer score by Michael Dennis Tenney adds to the spookiness too Some nice camerawork that resembles Sam Raimi Plus there's no hint of racism as typical horror movies go Thanks to home video sales the movie found a much bigger audience Campy, cheesy, with a side of comedy and punk rock gothic ness and this actually gave me a nightmare for a while I guess that proves the movie is doing its job, after all it later spawned 2 sequels even a remake

Loved the 80's vibe, coffin sex & that final scene but the story & demons look just didn't do it for me

This is my most favorite horror movie of all time. It's one of those horror movies that's comedic (not over the top cheesy with the comedy), while still being scary as f*ck.

Great 1980's horror movie. This was totally a product of its time and one of the better ones. Basically, kids in haunted house get possessed. Well done.

If you can get past the heavy misogyny, its not too bad of a horror flick. Enough scares to keep you interested, a story line that you can follow cuz, yeah, it's pretty simple, and some interesting stuff happening on camera you just don't see anyway. Lipstick and scream queen Linnea Quigley. Quigley has another great scene that involves some well-timed eye-gouging.

If this app was around when I first saw this movie, 5/5. Getting older and seeing flaws affects ratings

There was a brilliant beginning title sequence. There were some good demonic murderous moments. It was tacky and it was cheesy but that is why I wanted to watch it. It is not as over-the-top as Demons (1985). It is gory and American. The ending was a little inconsistent but still I enjoyed the whole mind-numbing demonic experience.
