At the very beginning we are welcomed with Wilhelm Reich's quote: "A sexually repressed society will resort to violence". He is an international trader - a speculator who grew up in a typical American family devoted to power and success. She is an illegal immigrant from Nicaragua, and works as a volunteer in a free clinic. When they meet it's a collision of worlds (quite literally) with plenty of sex and conversations about politics, philosophy, and other worldly pleasures. This movie very effectively raises its voice against the culture in which violence is considered to be top-notch entertainment, while sex is taboo and shame.

The title should be NOW AND LAME-ASS. What a colossal piece of rubbish. Sadly, any hardcore porno offers better acting and sex you might actually enjoy. I've seen better chemistry at middle school dances. You'd be well advised to pound a fifth of vodka and pass out for 2 hours rather than watch this movie. It's about 3 grades below Cinemax. Screw you if you go ahead and watch this movie despite my admonishment.

Utterly horrendous. "Disappointing" would be a grave understatement. Watching only half of this movie has pissed me off for twice as long ... I can never get that hour+ of my life back. Straight up colossal waste of time. Those who put this in the "porn" category have sex lives I simply want nothing to do with.

Looking at the reviews they seem to prove the point about a sexually repressed society. Intelligent political touching.
