OH MY GOD. I hated it!! Purely because of the horrendous woman written by a man romantic subplot. The magic? Spectacular, I loved it. The overarching storyline? Super creative and really awesome in theory. The execution of the over arcing storyline? BAD. They took all of this incredible potential, snagged a bunch of Grammy nominated big actors and just screwed the story. The detective's partner from interpol has ABSOLUTELY no character, no charm, a forced attitude that falls flat and no genuine feeling interactions between the two. They way he talks to her? Flat, stupid, one dimensional, predicable and poorly executed. She had nothing but out of place one liners that barely made sense or fit the character. These two are forced together by the plot, with no real actual interest being displayed in a realistic way. A magician is all "you guys have Romance" or something and she just starts acting "sweeter" after? It's stupid and despite how cool a bulk of this movie actually was, the sub romantic plot is just bad enough that it pisses me off and I will absolutely never watch this again. It feels like a bad romance book written by a man, with a male lead and all the women just exist as a bonus for the main character or to develop/show the main lead's character growth. I hate it, it was bad.

At a time when most mentally agile films are very talky and most action films have sing-along plots, Now You See Me is a surprisingly lively set of twists, turns, revelations and explosions.

Entertaining and I loved that I didn't have it figured out.

The concept is pretty cool and the visuals are great but you don't see much character development with many of the characters. They also keep talking about "The Eye" without explaining much about what it actually is and just assuming the audience should understand. It's ok but definitely could have been fleshed out better.

I realise this movie has its flaws…it’s a bit precious, the characters are a bit cartoonish, and the plot is contrived and strains the imagination. That being said, it’s one of my favourite comfort films, as it requires nothing but suspension of disbelief and a willingness to be entertained without any further expectations.

I didn't love it, but blonde Interpol agent Melanie Laurent was delightful, the car chase scene was great and that twist ending really caught me off gaurd. PS Woody Harrelson always entertains, but my gosh the man's in everything.

The magic isn't just confined to the vocation of the main characters in this complex and charismatic 2013 crowd-pleaser.

Maybe people just don't like magic but I was TOTALLY entertained. Love it!!

This movie thinks a lot of itself. It’s mildly entertaining; probably an airplane movie. The story’s not too compelling though, and the characters are awfully pretentious. It’s making a huge sudden push to license itself out to streaming, which tells me the studios desperate to squeeze something out of it.
