It’s got this thick, eerie atmosphere that wraps around you from the start—super mysterious without being confusing. The script? Surprisingly sharp. It builds anticipation in all the right places, keeping you leaning in, trying to piece things together. And the jumpscares? Brutal—in the best way. Every single one landed hard. What I loved most is how simple the plot is. Nothing overly complicated, just clean, effective storytelling that knows exactly what it’s doing. It's kind of a hidden gem—underrated for sure. If you’re into horror that doesn’t rely on gore or over-explaining itself, this one’s absolutely worth a shot. Give it a chance, and odds are it’ll crawl under your skin just right.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsI was so excited to see this movie, after hearing so many people praise it's storytelling, and how it's one of the best horror movies in years. But to be honest, this movie is incredibly overrated. It's not that it doesn't have its moment or isn't worth a watch. I was still intrigued, even if the twist is so obvious. The problem is that there are a few moments that made me go like : "There is no way these characters would act like this, if they were in this situation. It's like they are doing things because the script wants them to. Of course most horror movies have clichés like that. I was just expecting more. I still enjoyed it a little bit. Particularly due to Carolyn Bracken's performance. Her presence is so gripping here. Overall, horror fans will probably love this and i don't blame them. But after hearing what i heard about it, i was expecting an incredible masterpiece. It had the potential to be a really good movie, but everytime you thought something really good was about to happen, it didn't.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThe Oddity is a fresh and underrated take on horror and the supernatural. While it fits in the horror genre, it doesn’t follow the usual formula—instead, it brings a unique and creative twist. The lead actress, who plays a blind woman, completely carries the film. Her performance is powerful and grounded, and the way she taps into the supernatural is one of the most compelling parts of the movie. There’s a twist that you might see coming, but it’s still handled in a way that hits hard. The pacing keeps you constantly wondering what’s really going on, and it pays off without being overly complicated. If you like horror thrillers that play with perception and the unknown, this is one to check out, even though it’s no longer in theaters. Definitely deserves more attention!
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsThere’s no damn way this movie is rated so high. Just can’t be. Not only was the movie slow, but the description of the movie doesn’t really match with what happened. *spoiler alerts ahead* the part of the movie of the escaped mental patient was kinda good, but other than that, the movie was sooo predictable. And the blind lady doesn’t use a bunch of cursed/spooky/voodoo items to hurt or kill anyone except for this one bizarre looking brown rubber mummy that we only see at the end and it barely does anything. I was hoping the movie would have way more use of cursed items and more supernatural parts.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWhat can be more scary than a man!? Oddity is such a real horror, real characters, real story. The nature of a man is portrayed so well. Ugh. Loved it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis is actually such a good movie. Some people will love or hate the ending I just hope there is a part 2
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsOddity is the latest horror film making waves in the genre scene, with many fans praising it as a bold, boundary-pushing thrill ride. But after watching it, I honestly found myself wondering what all the hype was about. While it had a few intense moments and the potential for something genuinely scary, it never quite delivered on its promise. The atmosphere was there—creepy visuals, unsettling setups, and a storyline that seemed like it was building toward something terrifying. But every time it felt like the movie was about to go full horror, it held back. The direction missed key opportunities to really frighten the audience, and the writing just didn’t support the tension it tried to create. It felt like a lot of buildup with no real payoff. That said, Oddity wasn’t a complete failure. It had the bones of a great horror film and showed flashes of creativity. The pacing and tone were more in line with a psychological thriller than a true horror film, so if you go in expecting jump scares or lingering dread, you might walk away disappointed. It was presented as something scarier and more groundbreaking than it actually was. In the end, Oddity is just okay. It’s not terrible, but it’s definitely not the horror gem it’s being made out to be. Worth a one-time watch if you’re curious, but not something I’d revisit or put on any “must-watch” list. Stylish and suspenseful at times, but ultimately underwhelming. All setup, not enough scare.

- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsA solid psychological thriller.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsDani e Darcy são irmãs gêmeas.
