First action suicide comedy I have ever seen. Not bad. The darkness is real.

Overall, I am impressed by this feature, especially as an official, directional debut from Jerrod Carmichael, who also plays one of the leads. Successfully delivering a highly convincing friendship with snappy and fun dialogue along the way, the film brings a story that feels unpredictable and carries truly touching, shocking moments. Focusing on suicide themes, a hard-hitting subject, the combination of dark comedy will impact multiple viewers.

handled the topic of mental health institutions and suicide perfectly. definetly a perfect movie in my eyes, not too long not too short.

A cute dark-comedy, pals-flick, good enough for a lazy sunday afternoon.

A dark comedy if there ever was, 'On the Count of Three' is gentle and touching and quite ambitious. Jerrod Carmichael makes his directorial debut and co-stars with Christopher Abbott. The duo have a chemistry that makes the film. The characters have a deep friendship and love of each other. Tiffany Haddish, in only two powerful scenes, but this film shows her development as a dramatic actor. A delicate balancing act done well by Carmichael and all involved! Final Score: 8/10

Fantastic performances by Christopher Abbott and Jarrod Carmichael make this sometimes difficult watch enjoyable and funny. Jarrod Carmichael and the script writers did a great job finding the intersection of drama and comedy.

yeah idk; this film was not made for me. i just found it to be boring & depressing; not exactly emotions i enjoy feeling. i understand the importance of a film like this, but like i said - i just don't think I'm the audience for this particular one.

There's something here and I think it CAN be good, but this is one is really tough to parse. It's so, so dark and void of hope until its last moments that attempt to show a shred of light. I can't really in good conscience suggest anyone watch this, but I already did. Let's see...I don't mind the dark comedy about suicide and I think it really works for the most part. The two lead characters are so likeable and work well with each other. *SPOILER* I also don't think the movie works without a suicide, but the scene when it happens (pun intended) sucked the life out of me. It felt inevitable, but also unbelievably worthless. But that in and of itself is certainly worth thinking about.
