Open Water 2: Adrift
audience Reviews
, 23% Audience Score- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsNo sharks—just reckless, obnoxious people in the water, and that’s what gives this indie film its bite.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsThis thriller drama horror is kind of okay, pretty weak in some areas, they acting is little better then the first one and location here of course is beautiful but all characters are idiots especially the single one with a lover. He and she become so annoying and I get it is to be a little panic and somewhat afriad and knowing they are out sea and they don't tells themselves, wait I'm out the sea and should be more prepared and get It too that is a horror and movie but I think director and writer and producer could of thought something different, just saying. The ending could be a better and one main characters could have told her story that made sense because you watch it I guess so suppose put the puzzle together and that is what makes it not emotional involved you you should be. All in is not a perfect film but give a C-.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars25 mins in. They are trapped in the water unable to get back on the boat, and yet nobody thinks to remove all of their bathing suits and tie them together to make a rope. Bunch of morons
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsI was always a fan of the original movie Open Water as a kid, it had the same feeling Jaws gave you. You never knew what was lurking in the water or what might happen next. Which in itself was terrifying on its own. Open Water 2 Adrift however felt way more focused on the idiocy of the main characters to drive the movie forward. Every character death was due to poor judgement and fits of anger. It made the plot dull, because no matter what happened to the characters you didn’t really care much…and honestly if you’ve seen the ending you know that pretty much sums it up. Would not rewatch.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI think the end of the movie sucks because I believe that the mother survived but she didn't really in reality after she had already been inside the yacht, pulled the latter down and made it. But I guess she loved dan so much more than her baby cause she looked back and jumped in the water again. When I first watched this movie I was at the end of my seat
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsAs bad a movie as you're likely to find. Half a star is still too high for this clunker
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsWorst piece of shit movie I've ever seen. I've seen college introductory to movie making movies better than this.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsSuch a great surprise, well done on all angles even the soundtrack is great! Super sad and emotionally brutal and it carries a way better tone then most films you see on this level. Stellar movie that will getting you crying ...several times.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsReally stupid people get stuck in the water. They don't work together to save themselves. They take too much time to try the obvious things. They are very tired and have limited energy but they have boundless energy to scream, punch the boat and dive deep into the water looking for a knife at the bottom of the ocean. The only thing that kept me watching was that I wanted to know if they lived and if so how they got out.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsI think the movie was acted very well. it was a very well done suspense movie, so it held my interest, but having seen the original open water, i feel jilted. The deception was deliberate, which is why i give this film a low rating. However, the quality of the films production, general writing, and over all story, was very good, but it's supposed to be a shark movie. Second of all, cooler heads prevail in a crises. If they had used their heads, to find that solution much sooner, all could've survived the frauds lie, that caused many to die. Still it's a F**king shark movie... You have 2 dead in the water, one bleeding out, one totally disappears and one swims off to her doom, and captain intelligence commits suicide to boost the womans moral, alone on board a boat apparently anchored the whole time, In real life, sharks hang around sitting boats very often. if you're in the water, more than an hour, under stress of each other, hearts racing, kicking and fighting with each other, the sharks wouldn't miss the opportunity, yet here they are all day, all night, through a rain storm, and NO SHARKS... HUH??? The story was intriguing, but honestly its mostly cause in a movie with such realism, you're waiting for the sharks to arrive. in the final moments when the girl is climbing over the man to reach the deck, you find yourself rooting for the sharks to end the torment. So, the movie gets credit for crafting the story into a film, but they lose big points for misleading the audience.
