Operation Red Sea
audience Reviews
, 64% Audience Score- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsOpening sequence was quite good. But too many slo-mo in the movie. Action sequences weren't creative at all.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsVery patriotic Chinese movie, trying to show the power of the country in abroad. The plot of the movie is satisfying enough tho.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsIt's not as good as Dante Lam (Unbeatable, The Viral Factor) previous Operation Mekong but it's still an entertaining Patriotic War movie that does better flag waving than Michael Bay's shallow filmography
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starspropagandas are getting fancier
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starssuch a real war movie!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThere is not a single mode of weaponry not used in the 2+ hour actioner...it's a fabulous movie regarding the bonds of war teams. Tank warfare, parawing suits, giant sandstorms, sniper-vs-sniper gamesmanship, women soldiers snapping necks, hand grenades galore, televised beheadings, missing fingers and arms, knife fights, Helos and winding SAMs, navy ships launching missles, mini-drone bombs, major drones, and slo-mo bullets and mortar shells...did I miss anything?
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsIt's one of the best of its type. Get past the sub titles. Give it a chance.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsIt was a step of improvement in Chinese war films, but it still contained most of the styles of Chinese cinematography. Not even close in achieving the "audience on edge" effect despite of what it offers. Worth half a star, another half for effort.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsA Middle Eastern country falls into civil war. (Although this is filmed in Morocco and boy, does it look like Morocco.) A SEAL team is sent in to evacuate Chinese civilians out of the country. There's also a secondary storyline involving terrorists trying to get hold of radioactive material. This movie borrows so much from other movies. It starts with Captain Phillips, continues with Black Hawk Down, and throws in American Sniper and Hurt Locker for good measure. It does move, I will give it that. The second half of the film is nothing but explosions.
