Ouija: Origin of Evil
audience Reviews
, 58% Audience Score- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI'll admit I might be overstating the rating a bit. This is not "Citizen Kane" or "The Godfather." What we have here is a genuinely scary, completely unpredictable horror movie, and that is such a rare thing it deserves all the praise it can get. I loved the retro feel to it too. They even put that little circle flash in the upper right corner of the screen that used to signal the projectionist that it was almost time to change the reel. Nice touch.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsWell written in the way that the story flowed nicely but had a great amount of well timed surprises. Not jump scared dependent although they do utilize it. Creative elements where even I went "god damn." Love how they utilize the blurr on close/far away shots. The one thing that actually annoyed the crap out of me, well two things. One they needed to say goodbye and two they wanted to go with the cliche "burn the board" which is known to actually make the issue worse. I don't know whose decision that was, but either they had a hole they couldn't fix properly, didn't want to, or didn't do enough homework. Honestly, it's not hard to find, but to each their own, I guess. Overall, good possession movie. Would watch again.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsMuch better then the 2014 film this should've come first.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsA vast improvement over the original, this movie is shockingly driven by its performances and its character dynamic with each other. Focusing in a family rather than a random group of high schoolers, this movie's story makes the tension feel much more intense then that original. That being said, it is tied down by the silly Ouija board concept.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsThis movie was so awful I cannot comprehend how it has a score of 83%. The writing was so bad a side character had to explain the twist/story in one shot (show don’t tell??). It felt similar to haunting in Connecticut, yet way worse. Seances, many tortured bodies in the basement, mecromancy, they are terrorizing the family. Wah wah. Weirdly, haunting in Connecticut did much worse (17 vs 83%) but i thought was a much much better movie than this one. At least that story was interesting and slowly unfolded. This was uninteresting and the story unfolded at one time, when the one character point blank tells the audience. Dumb. Don’t watch this.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsuma coletânea de clichês
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsA good horror movie doesn’t just scare, it makes us feel something. This one left me feeling nothing but disappointment🥱

- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsPart 2 come in handy, and it was kinda of entertaining 😎 at least that I can say. Waiting for part 3 if only it will be existing in future.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsIt was definetly Interesting, the jumpscares werent very strong but it definetly kept you on your toes, I feel like the ending was a little cliche and expected. But it definetly plays with the idea o what could really happen.
