This documentary got a glorious review on Rotten Tomatoes and I couldn't be more at odds with that.
The fact is I've seen way more fascinating and absorbing tales of addiction on a series called "Intervention" and in other movies as well which I can't remember the names of. Of course the movies were fictional so I guess it's not fair to compare a documentary to them.
But all in all I found this film pretty boring and sort of like being forced to sit around the table for several days with a species of motor-mouth mother who's obviously drowning in her own "issues" and is attempting to straighten out her kids. She just doesn't seem able to get to the point without dancing endlessly around it.
