Outside

I don't say this lightly but this is one of the best movies I have ever seen. Very profound as it depicts the complexities and real impacts of domestic violence. It reminded me of my own family story and the generational trauma it caused. The preparator we know is scarier than the zombies outside. A must see!!!!!

Plot twist: the film itself is a zombie.

SIMPLY DID NOT WORK This film is underdeveloped, poorly produced and mediocrely directed. Lead man arrives in his old house to find his father shot himself to death. The corpse rotting already, but no indication of foul smell. House caretaker has been seen for a while but livestocks are still alive. Who fed those chickens? Those scenes completely lost me. Lead actor and actress characters don't have any arc at all. Thank goodness for the terrific acting of the two young boys who served as the couple's children. Gory? Indeed. It actually had to go to the extreme in most scenes (if not all) which is not necessary, doesn't help this mixed-up drama/horror film. If you don't want to scream at your TV for stupidity, don't watch this film. Just awful.

Worst f'ng movie ever. Horrible plot. Great cinematography. But worst characters, some guilt thing riding throughout it and really 2.5 hours? Director and writer should be banned from every writing again.

although I was really confused from the start I found it really exciting with all the scenes and quite sad, I cried at the end but it was worth seeing

Too long and boring for a zombie movie. I wasn’t a big fan of the acting either. The dad was too creepy for the situation they were in. At the beginning when the hanging dead body falls on the son and the dad just stands there, was very weird and off putting for me and it was all downhill for me after that.

It takes all the zombie out of zombie movies. Its basically a boring family drama with flat characters, no plot, and a few stupid piss-poor excuses for zombies. It sucks ass. If you're a harcore zombie lover, don't waste your time.

Art is universal. Outsidenis the proof of that.

"Outside" delivers a chilling psychological thriller, masterfully acted and brimming with suspense. The film cleverly uses the backdrop of a zombie outbreak to explore the unraveling of a family, rather than focusing on the undead themselves. A must-see for those who prefer their scares with a side of complex character drama.

Its main issue is it's way too long, and ultimately doesn't quite have the emotional impact it tries for, though I give it credit for trying for a human story instead of just a bunch of zombie junk, which I have had a gut-full of.
