Why they cast a bunch of 17 year olds and focus half the movie on a 12 year old looking female being held back is beyond me. The first was actually decently entertaining. This one took a major page in the politically correct way too diverse crowd with all new characters and hardly any connection to the original movie. It was boring with way too much focus on the teenie bopper characters. lol like to hinge the movie on the it’s always sunny guy as the villain lol like what were they thinking. Please stop casting 13 year olds as war action hero’s. Even the 15 year olds watching realize it’s unrealistic

Pacific Rim Uprising is the worst movie ever made featuring robots fighting monsters. Unlike the first Pacific Rim, the sequel received a $3.5 billion investment from a Chinese company, which resulted in excessive product placement. Consequently, it ended up being even worse than some Transformers films. In my opinion, this movie likely made more money from product placement than from ticket sales, which often happens when Chinese companies invest in a film. Nevertheless, it was still an enjoyable movie to watch with my younger cousin, who is in a lower grade.

No, not recommend this movie, waste of time. What a disappointing movie especially when you compare it with the first one!

It is a slap in the face of the original to say these two movies are in the same franchise. This movie does nothing to expand the IP. The CGI already looks dated, the action sequences are very fake and cheap feeling. The irresistible style and charm of the first film are completely gone. And without the style, there is very little left.

Nowhere near as good as the original. Writing and casting was crap. John Boyega is arguably the worst actor currently in the business. The movie would have been 100 times better without him. Watching giant robots fight giant monsters was still fun but the rest of the movie was pretty poo.
