- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsThis isn’t the best Lego film, but hey, if you’re into rap music then go ahead and give it a shot.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsPharrell owes me 1.5 hours of my life back after subjecting me to his self-indulgent documentary that feels less like an exploration of artistic vision and more like a gaudy parade of self-promotion. The entire experience was a dizzying display of ego, where the focus seemed less on the artistry and more on Pharrell’s need to bask in his own glory. I found myself rolling my eyes at the relentless barrage of flashy visuals and hollow statements that did little to invoke genuine inspiration. Instead, it felt like a desperate attempt to elevate his status while completely disregarding the audience’s time and money. It’s almost unfathomable that LEGO, a brand known for creativity and imagination, would lend their name to such a lackluster collaboration. They should be embarrassed for associating themselves with a project that embodies self-absorption instead of the collaborative spirit that LEGO represents. This documentary should have aired on TLC or A&E, where such self-centered narratives seem to find a cozy home, rather than being a feature that commands a ticket price. The film's attempt at showcasing Pharrell's beginnings fell flat, as it morphed into a tedious brag-fest that left me yearning for substance and depth. I would honestly rather sit through the uncut versions of notorious flops like “Ishtar” or “Avatar” than endure this overhyped spectacle again. The sheer audacity of presenting such a self-congratulatory piece as a legitimate film is baffling. It’s a disservice not only to the audience but to the art of filmmaking itself. I came for inspiration and left feeling insulted—truly, the worst movie experience I have ever had.

- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars**Review: 3.5/5 – "Piece by Piece"** Always been a sucker for music docs and a lifelong LEGO nerd, so *Piece by Piece* felt like it was made just for me—well, almost. Pharrell’s music isn’t usually my go-to, but I was curious, and honestly, I’m glad I watched it. The pacing’s a bit wobbly—some slower stretches had me drifting—but just when it starts to lag, the LEGO magic kicks in and snaps things back into place (pun absolutely intended). The way they blend Pharrell’s journey with LEGO’s playful wit is brilliant—it elevates what could’ve been a pretty standard biography. Without the bricks, this would’ve been way less engaging. But with them? It’s imaginative, charming, and just a really fun time. Not groundbreaking, but a perfect example of how creative presentation can breathe fresh life into a familiar format. Hours flew by. Not deep, but definitely delightful.
