It's a fine movie for when you want to stay in and be emo. The acting overall is not bad, and the sex scenes are decent. I think it's obvious, though that the writers/editors did not pay huge attention to the finished product, as there's a very big glaring scene when Haley calls her Manager a completely different name. I've made all my partners watch this movie with me, and they all ended up angry and throwing little boy fits from jealousy over Enzo

I enjoyed this movie and believe it has been very under-rated. It is a guilty pleasure to watch and probably will be most appreciated by fans of gothic-tinged rock, psycho-thrillers, and Twilight fans (2 actors from Twilight movie series)- and there are some good erotic sex scenes. The actors deliver very good, credible performances- and three actors sing some great songs on the soundtrack! There is more complexity and layers to this movie than you can appreciate in one watching- I appreciated the movie much more on the second watch and wonder whether some critics who didn't like it gave it enough time to appreciate it fully. There are some excellent scenes (my faves are the hotel backrub scene, the hotel dress-up/pool scene, the video scene, and all scenes with Annie) and changes direction to become a psychological thriller. This movie tackles a lot of questions and themes and does so full throttle. Catherine Hardwicke directed, co-wrote, and co-produced this movie--she directed the first Twilight movie in the series--and brings her talent for dark, intense, youthful angst to this movie. She also hired Nick Launey, famous music producer, for the soundtracks, which are awesome- so listen to it! My favorite character is Annie, and I wonder whether Catherine Hardwicke wrote this character based on herself? Annie is the manager of the band and lives and breathes the wild rock'n-roll, sex, and drugs lifestyle but manages not to be consumed by the chaos of it, rather she is always the in-control fixer who can manage the most extreme situations. She is a fun character! The chemistry between the two main characters is real--they began dating after meeting in this movie. This movie is intense to the point of being campy at times, but it's a fun ride and worth a watch or two!

Ultimately it's a skeezy Fatal Attraction-type of movie, that tries a little too hard to be edgy, but sadly comes across more as silly.

Welcome back penny. I liked the movie tbh.

Centred around Emily Browning's rock star character, without her dominant performance there would be little on show here with a very well used simmering psychopath storyline.

that should have been better. glad I was doing the ironing whilst watching otherwise it would have been a waste of time.

Plush is a really great movie that unfortunately didn't have a lot of success. The story is well written, it's well directed and all the actors are great. It's not just a movie about a rockstar, it's a real thriller. To everybody who wants to watch a story with a great plot twist and some really well directed scenes, Plush is a must watch. 5/5 because it's a surprising movie with an amazing screenplay!
