Pokémon: The Rise of Darkrai

, 75% Audience Score- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI was 10 years old back then. The music the story are still on my mind.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsNot bad but not great, either. A good storyline and a nice entry into the Diamond and Pearl series. The English dub has some stupid idioms and crap, but it's not noticeable. The voice cast also has improved after the transition from 4Kids to TPCi.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars10th movie of the series and first to use completely computer-drawn ink vs hand-drawn. Based on Barcelona, the movie sets are beautiful and the image is nice and crisp. The legendary Pokémon featured are impressive and the movie has a sense of grandeur. However, it wasn't able to catch much of my attention and overall it was a bit boring and dejavu-ish.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsMy favourite pokemon movie to date.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsDIALGA AND PALKIA!!! (OUO)
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsDespite having a familiar plot (creature is misunderstood by people and then has to prove itself), what holds up The Rise of Darkrai are its strong morals, character development, clever foreshadowing and not being afraid to get dramatic, but in a believable way. Also kudos to the writers for taking the time to use this movie to set up the plots for two other Pokémon movies. It almost makes me wish that these didn't migrate to DVD after Pokémon Heroes got negative reviews. The only real flaw other than its familiarity is that Alice is kind of bland, but it's not that big of a problem really.
