Many laughs initially, but it's really just a very long Andy Samberg typical sketch / music video. The attractive part is the many cameos maybe

People are crazy i have watched this do many times and I still laugh whole movie. It is quintessential movie that you can just set down in on cable and catch it at any point and watch it.

This was quite funny - I enjoyed it!

It strays away a bit in the second half, but 'Popstar' is still a fun time and a great satire movie.

She said, "F!"& me like we f!"&ed Bin Laden" 🤣

So damn funny from start to finish, 'like we fucked bin laden' was the highlight song for me.

It's phenomenal for the right audience. It has a handful of wasted scenes that don't add anything (the TMZ writers' room cutaways being the main offenders), but they're short enough that you can grit your teeth through the cringe and expect the next scene to knock it out of the park. The movie continues what Lonely Island have done with their musical efforts: gather the most notable stars in the music industry, remove all censorship, and let everyone just have fun. If you can't laugh at Mariah Carey claiming she's the most humble person in the house world with a straight face, or Usher praising the Donkey Roll as his inspiration for dancing...you aren't in on the joke.

Ridiculous and hilarious. One of Andy Samburg's best roles. Any time I see an image of the Mona Lisa, I'm immediately humming "Mona Lisa, you're an overrated piece of...". It's a great movie for those that like to quote lines

Popstar is a great film that probably mostly appeals to fans of The Lonely Island, which is probably why I liked it. It's not the best film, but it's still a fun time for fans of The Lonely Island.
